Bio

Professional Interests:

Since graduating from Veterinary School I have been working to achieve what I always wanted: to be an excellent dairy cattle veterinarian. In order to do this, I have been trying to specialize myself in practical aspects of reproduction and nutrition, which are the fields I most enjoy working in. Regarding the field of nutrition, one of my interests is to understand the effect of diet on the expression of genes in tissues of economical importance, e.g. mammary gland. My career goal is to combine research and consulting in the cattle and sheep industry.

Master's Thesis:

My first research project focuses on mammary gland development in pre-pubertal heifer calves in response to nutrition. More specifically, I'm trying to determine how different diets affect mammary gland gene expression.
