Beau grew up on a small farm outside the northwestern Illinois community of Alpha.  He graduated from AlWood Jr./Sr. High School in Woodhull, Illinois in 1998.  Beau joined the Department of Animal Sciences, University of Illinois, where he graduated in May, 2002.  Currently he is pursuing a Masters Degree in Animal Sciences, University of Illinois, under the guidance of Dr. Mike Ellis.  His  focus is on swine production and management.
